Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria, advised the federal government on how to decrease crime rate in the country.
Speaking to News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) at the end of the event marking the end of 10th commencement and presidential inauguration of America University, Yola.
He explained that for us to enjoy a friendly environment in the country, there should be more focus on bringing an equilibrium between curriculum and entrepreneurship. Speaking further, he emphasized on the much reliance on crude oil and advised Nigerians to face other sectors to boost the economy and eradicate crisis.
He said: “it is becoming evident by the day that the future of Nigeria lies in the bowel of the earth, but what is in the hands of our people, that’s the human capital”
He mentioned how he made education a major force and also enforcing it by establishing AUN.
He said: ” This (AUN) is my most fulfilling investment, not just because it provides job like my other endeavours but more importantly because its graduates are change agents needed for transforming our country to benefit all”
